The ship included a command module (sample 101) and did not include a lunar module. The mass of the ship is 14,7 tons. To launch the rocket was used “Saturn-1B” (sample AS-205). The purpose of the flight is complex tests of the command module in geocentric orbit, as well as tests of the command and measurement complex.
